Prototyping

Something real enough to argue about. We build clickable prototypes that answer the expensive questions before a line of production code exists.

Opinions about a static mockup are cheap and usually wrong. Put the same idea in someone’s hands as a working flow and the real problems surface in minutes: the step nobody understands, the field nobody can find, the assumption that only made sense to the person who wrote it.

We build prototypes at whatever fidelity answers the question. Sometimes that is a grey-box flow made in a day to settle a navigation argument. Sometimes it is a polished, data-backed simulation used to win internal budget or test with real customers. The point is deciding what you are testing before deciding how much to build.

Prototypes are deliberately disposable. Their value is the decisions they let you make early, and treating them as a head start on production code is usually how a prototype quietly becomes a codebase nobody wanted.

What this includes

  • /Low-fidelity flows for structural and navigation decisions
  • /High-fidelity clickable prototypes for stakeholder buy-in
  • /Coded prototypes when interaction or data feel matters
  • /Prototypes built for usability sessions with real users
  • /Concept validation ahead of committing to a build
  • /A written record of what each prototype settled

When teams call us

  • /A team split between two directions and going in circles
  • /Needing internal budget approval for an unbuilt idea
  • /Testing a novel interaction that mockups cannot convey
  • /Validating demand before committing to a full build
  • /De-risking the hardest screen before the project starts

Discovery Workshops

A few structured days that replace months of guessing. We get the people who know the business in one room and leave with a scope everyone recognises.

UX / UI Design

Interfaces that are clear first and beautiful second. We design products people can use without a manual, then make them look like something you would want to show off.

User Research

Evidence instead of the loudest opinion in the room. We talk to the people who use your product and come back with findings you can act on.

Common questions

What is a product prototype?+

A prototype is a testable version of a product idea or user flow built to answer specific questions before committing to full development.

What types of prototypes do you build?+

We build low-fidelity flows, high-fidelity clickable prototypes, and coded prototypes when interaction, performance, or live data needs to feel realistic.

When should we prototype instead of starting development?+

Prototyping is useful when important product decisions are still unresolved, a novel interaction needs testing, or you want to validate an idea before investing in a full build.

Can prototypes be tested with real users?+

Yes. We often build prototypes specifically for usability testing so assumptions can be validated with real users before engineering begins.

Do you build prototypes in Figma or code?+

Both. Figma is usually the fastest choice for testing flows and interfaces. We use real code when the question depends on interaction, performance, or realistic data.

Will the prototype become part of the production product?+

Usually not. Prototypes are intentionally built to learn quickly. Their main value is the decisions they help you make before production engineering starts.
