Frequently asked questions.
The things prospective clients ask us most, answered plainly. If yours is not here, ask us directly.
Working together
What types of clients do you work with?+
Startups, scaleups, and enterprise teams across many industries. Whether you are launching something new or scaling an existing product, we adapt to your challenges rather than forcing you into one process.
We already have an in-house team. Can you still help?+
Yes — that is one of our four cooperation models. With staff augmentation our people integrate into your existing team, using your tools and standards, to fill expertise gaps or add capacity.
Do you work with clients outside Slovenia and the US?+
Yes. We are based in Ljubljana and New York, which lets us overlap comfortably with both European and US time zones. Most of our work is remote-first with visits when a project warrants it.
What if we are not sure what we need yet?+
That is what discovery is for. A short workshop turns a rough idea into a scoped plan you own — and you can take that plan elsewhere if you decide not to build with us.
Commercials & contracts
How do you price projects?+
It depends on scope and model. A well-defined scope gets a fixed price and timeline after discovery, with no hidden surprises. Ongoing work runs on a monthly retainer. We do not publish rate cards because the honest answer needs a conversation first.
Fixed scope or agile?+
Both. A clearly defined scope gets a proposal with timelines and cost. If requirements are still evolving, we work in sprints with regular demos so you can steer as you learn.
Who owns the intellectual property?+
You do. All IP developed during the project belongs to you, and we sign NDAs so your ideas and data stay confidential.
What happens if the scope changes mid-project?+
We flag it early rather than at invoice time. On fixed-scope work we agree a change in writing before it is built; on retainers we simply reprioritise the next sprint with you.
Delivery & process
How do you actually run a project?+
Two-week sprints with a demo at the end of each one. You see working software continuously instead of a status report, and priorities for the next sprint are set with you.
What is your typical team setup?+
A dedicated team matched to your needs — usually product engineers, DevOps, design, and a project lead. We plug in fast and work like part of your company.
What happens after launch?+
We stay. Most engagements continue past launch to monitor, harden, and grow the product. If you would rather take it in-house, we hand over documented code, infrastructure, and access.
How do you keep quality up?+
Testing is part of every sprint rather than a phase at the end, and we write TypeScript across the stack so breaking changes surface in the build. Our record is 100% on-time and on-budget delivery across 56+ projects.
Technology & AI
Can you work in our existing stack?+
Usually, yes. We would rather fit your team than hand you a rewrite. Tell us what you run and we will say honestly whether we are the right fit.
Our prototype was built with AI. Can you take it to production?+
Yes — that is our Vibecoded to Production service. We read what the AI generated, keep what works, and replace what will not survive real users: auth, data model, error handling, and tests.
Do you build AI features?+
Yes, pragmatically. We start with an AI discovery workshop to find the features that genuinely add leverage, then build and ship them. We are not interested in adding AI for the sake of a press release.
How do you choose technologies?+
Boring where it counts, modern where it pays. We default to proven tools with long support horizons and reach for newer ones only where they clearly cut cost or time to market.
Getting started
How do we get started?+
Book a 30-minute call. We will learn your goals and suggest the best next step — a workshop, an audit, or a full build. No obligation either way.
What should we prepare for the first call?+
Nothing formal. What you are trying to achieve, any constraints or deadlines, and what already exists is plenty. If you have a brief or a repo, send it over beforehand.
How quickly can you start?+
It depends on current commitments and the team a project needs. We will tell you a realistic start date on the first call rather than promising a date we cannot hold.
