The gap in most organisations is not technical ability, it is translation. Engineering knows the system is fragile; the board hears "we need a refactor" and sees cost without return. Someone has to express technical debt as business risk and roadmap choices as investment options, in terms both sides recognise.
We work with leadership on the decisions that outlast any individual project: how to structure teams around the product, when to build versus buy, what to insource, and how much of the roadmap to reserve for the work that keeps everything running.
This is advisory work with a defined end. The goal is a leadership team that can make these calls without us, not a standing retainer that quietly becomes part of the org chart.
